Title:  "The Politics of Census 2000 -- Implications for Data Quality"

Abstract:  The presentation discusses how the politics of census results
became the politics of census methods, with emphasis on the ways in which
Census 2000 controversies may affect data quality and data products.  
There will be an overview of political considerations that affect what
questions are included in a decennial census, the factors that affect
response rates, correcting for the differential undercount, and possible
data problems related to item non-response.
