Traveling to Evanston by Car
From the North via I-94
From the West Via I-90 or I-190
From the South or West via I-57, I-55, I-80, and I-90

From Milwaukee and North
Take I-94 south to Skokie Blvd. Follow southbound Skokie Blvd approximately 2 miles to Golf Rd (next major intersection AFTER the Old Orchard Mall). Turn left at the traffic light onto eastbound Golf Rd Follow Golf Rd approximately four miles into Evanston (the road name changes to Emerson St in Evanston!). Turn Right on Sherman and travel three blocks to Church Street. Left on Church and then a quick left onto Orrington Avenue. The Omni will be on the left.
From the West via I-88, I-90 or I-190 (Ohare)
Take I-294 Northbound (heading toward Wisconsin). Note: there will be a $0.40 toll . Exit a Dempster Street-East. Follow Dempster approximately 10 miles (15-20 minutes). Once in Evanston, proceed under two (2) viaducts and turn left onto Sherman Avenue. Bear right onto the Orrington Avenue split. Continue 1.5 blocks to the Omni which will be on the left.
From the South or West
When reaching Chicago land, take I-94 or I-90 northbound (toward Wisconsin). I-90/I-94 merge to become the Dan Ryan Expressway at 67th Street. Follow the Dan Ryan onto the Kennedy Expressway. When I-94 splits from I-90, bear to the right, staying on I-94. Take I-94 north to Dempster Street East. Follow Dempster approximately 5 miles (10-15 minutes). Once in Evanston, proceed under two (2) viaducts and turn left onto Sherman Avenue. Bear right onto the Orrington Avenue split. Continue 1.5 blocks to the Omni which will be on the left.
From Chicago
Follow Lake Shore Drive north to its end at Hollywood. Be sure to be in the right lane. At the first light, turn right onto Sheridan Road. Continue North into Evanston (There are many turns -- watch for the Sheridan Road signs). Left on Dempster Street to Chicago Avenue. Right on Chicago. Travel four blocks to Davis Street and turn left. One block to Orrington Avenue. Right on Orrington. Continue 1.5 blocks to the Omni Hotel on the left.
